Wow, I am even worse at keeping up with this thing than I am at keeping up with my teacher blog!
Well, I am happy to report I have made a TON of progress since my last post! Found the bridesmaids and flower girl dress, got a color scheme picked out, decided on a color for the groom and groomsmen vests, booked a florist, planned out the flowers, booked a photographer, etc.. Our colors are going to be milk chocolate and burnt orange, with milk chocolate bridesmaids dresses, and burnt orange flowers. The bridesmaids' bouquets will consist of burnt orange gerber daisies, and light green hydrangeas as the base. My bouquet will have orange calla lillies, hypericuim berries (don't worry, I had never hear of them either), and various other blooms stuck in the middle. I am so excited!
But most importantly...I FOUND MY DRESS! I am in LOVE!!!! I really wasn't even looking the day that I found it either. I spent two whole days searching and searching, and couldn't make a decision. The one day last week, a lady that works at my school gave me a catalog for Alfred Angelo dresses, which they carry in the wedding dress shop she works at. I thought, "I'll go down there on Saturday and see if they have any of these dresses..." Now, I live in a very small town, and I never dreamed I would find one I would like in this tiny little shop, but they had one of the dresses I had picked out of the catalog and INSTANTLY knew it was the one!! I am so pumped! :)
I am so so SO excited that everything is coming together! I also fell in LOVE with the photographers that we chose yesterday! They have their own blog, over at Casey Brook Photography. My mom and I went to meet them yesterday at a coffee shop in a nearby town. Not only is their work AMAZING, but they have THE cutest personalities EVER! You should definitely check out their blog! They are so talented and fun, and I can't wait to work with them! :)
So, that's about all I have to report for now, but trust me, that is a LOT of progress compared to what we did have! I am so excited!! :)
