Bridesmaid Dress SUCCESS!!

So I took three of my bridesmaids dress shopping today! (Yes, before I have bought my own dress...weird I know.) But I am so excited to say I think we have a winner!! We had so much fun and after having them try on three dresses I think I have come to a conclusion. {Keyword: THINK} I will probably change my mind a million times but as of right now I am pretty much sold! I will post the picture of my final decision once I have my other four maids try them on, but I am so so SO excited!! I also met with my wonderful and very talented friend who is making our save-the-dates today and brainstormed some super cute ideas for those and the invitations! I am so excited to finally be getting somewhere with the planning! I know this is a VERY small step but it's much better than my usual "procrastinate until the day before and then freak out because I don't have anything done" fashion.

More updates to come...just wanted to let you in on my small accomplishment for the day! :)

Much Love,

Standstill

So, as Christmas Break draws nearer and nearer, I have had less and less time to even talk think about the wedding! My mom and I did take a mini dress shopping trip a couple of weeks ago, but it was nothing special. I tried on two dresses and decided I need to get waaayyy more in shape before I wear one of these things for real! I did find two different styles of bridesmaids dresses I am interested in though!

Now of course, ignore the colors, I haven't decided on anything yet. With it being an October wedding, I am thinking browns and burnt oranges, but nothing is set in stone. I have 7 bridesmaids so at some point I would like to get them all together and try these two tons of styles on so I can make sure it will look good on everyone! I just want everyone to feel comfortable and beautiful as they walk down the aisle!

So really, this is about as far as I have gotten. I have a million other ideas floating around in my head of course, but haven't really had time to sit down and sort it all out. I am however, officially addicted to Say Yes to the Dress. It comes on every day at 4 and 4:30 Indiana time and I have to say it has a lot to do with why I am so behind on everything! Needless to say, DVR is both a blessing and a curse :)

So, basically this is just a quick update to tell you there are no updates. :)I will definitely be focusing more on the dress sitcho after the holidays, and will MOST definitely keep you posted on the details! Happy Weekend and enjoy the rest of your Saturday! :)

Am I Crazy or WHAT??

Attention Teacher Friends/anyone else who reads this...

So as I don't have a hard enough time keeping up with my other blog, why not add another one?!? I have a feeling I will be better at keeping up with this one though since I don't have to figure out how to upload my own work! I can handle posting pictures!

Anyway, I made this blog to keep you all updated on my crazy progress of planning this wedding, while trying to keep my class of 18 in control!! I know several of you teachers out there in blogland are married, so if you have ANY advice on how to manage planning a wedding, staying on top of it in the classroom, AND keeping your sanity...please please PLEASE share your secrets!! :)

The wedding will be on October 13 of next year, so naturally I am FREAKING OUT about how I will manage to set up my classroom at the beginning of next year while in the peak of planning my wedding. I know I have a while to worry about it, but like everything else in my life, I am sure it will sneak up on me before I am even ready for it! If anyone has any advice or tips I would love love LOVE you forever! Ok, you guys are so fabulous I will love you anyway, but you get the idea!

Ok, what was I thinking?? What is a wedding blog without a picture of the ring?? I am absolutely IN LOVE with this ring! He did such a fantastic job of picking it out with zero {a little} guidance!

Anyways, stay tuned for updates on the wedding, tons of pictures, and what I'm sure will be plenty more cries for help!
